MOZA Racing has expanded its direct drive lineup with the launch of the Moza R21 Ultra, a wheelbase engineered for high-fidelity force feedback and long-session durability. Delivering 21 Nm of sustained torque, not just peak output, the unit targets competitive sim racers who demand precise steering detail and consistent force during endurance races.

Precision Engineering With Zero-Cogging Motor Design

At the core of the Moza R21 Ultra is a custom flat-wire servo motor designed for zero cogging, producing a smooth and controlled steering feel even under heavy load. Paired with a 21-bit magnetic encoder offering over two million resolution points, the Moza R21 Ultra captures even the most subtle steering movements with accuracy. An advanced force feedback algorithm refines output detail, improving road texture, tire slip response and curb feel without introducing noise or graininess.

Built for Rig Integration and Clean Setup Design

The Moza R21 Ultra features a CNC-machined aluminum body for strength and thermal stability, with multi-position mounting options including bottom, side and front installation to fit a wide range of cockpits. The base offers direct connectivity for MOZA ecosystem hardware—such as pedals, shifters, dashboards and handbrakes—reducing USB cable clutter. Dual RGB telemetry light strips are built into the housing and can be mapped to racing data like traction control activation, ABS, RPM or flag alerts.

Moza R21: Positioned Between Mid-Range and Flagship Performance

With its sustained torque output, smooth motor response and simplified rig integration, the Moza R21 Ultra aims to bridge the gap between mid-range direct drive units and ultra-premium options. It delivers the muscle required for GT and formula racing while staying accessible in price compared to top-tier industrial wheelbases. For sim racers looking to upgrade to professional force feedback performance without stepping into extreme pricing territory, the R21 Ultra arrives as a strong contender in 2025.
