Description
The MOZA R5 Pro Truck Bundle gives virtual hauling a properly scaled control system rather than a racing wheel wearing a trucker’s hat. Its 400 mm four-spoke truck wheel encourages broad, measured steering movements, while the 6 Nm direct-drive base with a 21-bit magnetic encoder communicates road texture, front-axle load, and tire scrub with impressive clarity. Add metal pedals, illuminated controls, dual thumbwheels, and two slim joysticks, and long motorway runs feel more involving without turning a three-point depot manoeuvre into unnecessary gym work.
What Sets the Moza R5 Pro Truck Bundle apart?
-
A Properly Sized Wheel Changes the Entire Driving Rhythm The 400 mm diameter is far closer to heavy-vehicle steering dimensions than the compact rims supplied with most entry-level bundles. Users commonly find that the larger circumference encourages smoother corrections, slower hand movements, and more natural control during reversing and tight depot work. It also makes ordinary racing wheels feel suspiciously like dinner plates afterward, although the added leverage slightly softens the perceived strength of the 6 Nm wheelbase.
-
Direct Drive Adds Information Without Making Trucking Exhausting Six newton-metres of constant torque provides enough resistance to communicate road camber, tire scrub, curb contact, and front-axle loading without becoming tiring during long deliveries. The 21-bit encoder and 600 MHz processor help preserve small steering changes around the centre, where truck simulation spends much of its time. Feedback from large-wheel users suggests sensible software settings matter greatly, as aggressive racing presets can make a forty-tonne vehicle behave like an irritated kart.
-
Cab Controls Are Available Without Reaching for a Keyboard Fourteen short-travel illuminated buttons, two aluminium thumbwheels, and two low-profile joysticks place frequently used functions directly beneath the driver’s hands. That is particularly valuable in truck simulators, where lights, cruise control, dashboard pages, cameras, retarder settings, and route functions quickly consume keyboard space. Users appreciate the control count and clear illumination, although remembering every custom assignment may still require the memory of a seasoned airline captain.
-
The Pedals Provide a Stronger Foundation for Future Expansion The SR-P Lite2 pedals use a steel structure, contactless Hall sensors, adjustable spacing, and independently adjustable face heights. They feel more substantial than lightweight plastic pedal sets and can be positioned for a relaxed truck-driving posture rather than a tightly grouped racing stance. The brake remains travel-based rather than load-cell operated, but optional mounting support and extensive software adjustment make the set practical for desks and permanent cockpits alike.
Pros and Cons

Truck wheel requires a suitable MOZA hub adapter |
The included truck wheel uses the all-aluminium MOZA quick-release system and can be exchanged with compatible MOZA steering wheels in seconds. The R5 Pro base also provides integrated connections for pedals, shifters, handbrakes, dashboards, and emergency-stop switches, reducing the number of separate USB cables. Optional MOZA Multi-Function Stalks can add indicators, lights, wipers, and other column-mounted functions for a more complete truck cab layout.
Third-party USB pedals, shifters, button boxes, and handbrakes can operate alongside the bundle on PC, provided the chosen simulator supports multiple input devices. The truck wheel can also be adapted to selected third-party wheelbases using suitable MOZA hub hardware, but its buttons, lighting, and joysticks may require a separate wired connection. The 400 mm rim is less suitable for formula cars, rapid rally corrections, and compact racing cockpits than a smaller dedicated racing wheel.
The bundle is designed primarily for Windows PC and is particularly suited to Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. MOZA Pit House handles steering range, force-feedback settings, button assignments, lighting, pedal curves, and firmware management. It does not support PlayStation natively, and the supplied truck wheel does not provide the licensed controls required for standard Xbox operation, making PC the intended platform for the complete bundle.
