Cube Controls has revealed its new “Taurus” steering wheel, drawing heavy influence from real-world motorsport designs. The Italian company emphasises its experience in both sim and actual racing hardware—having supplied wheels for cars like the Honda Civic Type R TCR.

The Taurus is positioned as a premium product that brings racing-car aesthetics, build materials and switch layouts into the sim cockpit.

High-Grade Construction & Layout Features

The Taurus features a carbon-fibre face plate combined with a die-cast aluminium body, mirroring the build materials seen in professional race cars. Switchgear includes multiple rotary encoders and alloy paddles, with an ergonomic layout aimed at long sessions and competitive use.

Cube Controls emphasises precision: lightweight design reduces inertia for quicker steering corrections, and components are shared or derived from their real-world motorsport projects. The wheel hub utilises the company’s Q-Conn magnetic system for rapid removal and future upgrades.

Release Timing, Ecosystem Fit & What to Expect

While a full launch date and pricing have yet to be confirmed, Cube Controls is showcasing Taurus ahead of major industry events and expects availability in the near future. As part of the wide Cube Controls ecosystem, the wheel is compatible with their quick-release hubs and existing wheelbases, but also signals the company’s deeper push into race-inspired peripherals.

For sim racers building high-end rigs, Taurus promises premium materials and layout tailored to serious use—what remains to watch is the final firmware, button mapping options and regional availability.
